>a. Motorized Cart Map Update - Motorized Cart Crossing, Lakes Boulevard
	Request has been made for a crossing at 376 and Frances Lake/David Drive
	This is near the post office
	DOT says it is OK if the motorized cart ordinance is changed to
	include this location.


>b. Proposal from Lovell Engineering for Stafford Wright Road Paving Project
	Stafford Wright Residents want road paved.
	Stafford Wright is not currently on paving list. 
		Was with SPLOST 2&3
	Supposedly residents are willing to donate ROW.
	60 foot ROW is needed with "regular" ditches
	Motion is for a survey and to obtain the ROW donations.
	RL says "area will develop more once this road is paved".

>c. Abandoning an unopened right of way – Clyattville School
	Some ROW was obtained when different plan was for area.
	School is on some of the ROW now.
	Owners were unaware of criss-crossing ROW.
	County will retain easement for waterline and for sidewalk
	for access to school from new development
	Public hearing in 2 weeks - needs to be advertized first.

>d. Piney Woods Saddle Club Contract Renewal
	beind 911 call center
	$100 per year contract renewal
	RL wonders who maintains the fence and bleachers
	JP says volunteers from Piney Woods do
	AP says prisoners maintain the grass
	AP says Valdosta Electric does the electric for free
	Linda Harris (Quarterman Road) is involved.

>e. Code Red Weather Warning Service
	weather warning system
	$12,500 annual fee
	$10,000 this year is available from grant
	will use NWS message to targeted numbers based upon weather event
		(ie flooding, tornado, thunderstorms, etc)
	Currently 38,000 county subscribers to Code Red Service
	AT says phone list needs to be refreshed and people should 
		re-sign up
	Tests are done 2x per year
	RL thinks more publicity is needed
	AT says Moody commanders include information in new personnel briefing
	PD says it is mentioned on radio shows [need to find out what stations]
	RL and JE suggest running a newspaper ad

>f. CISCO IP Phone System Enhancements
	Current phone system license only allows block purchases
	Upgrade to system will allow a-la-carte purchases of 
		just phone, just VM, just conferencing and will allow
		enchanced teleconferencing, including dial-out
	Need additional 100 lines in new Judicial Complex and DA office
	Will need more services for Tax Commissioners and Utilities
	Money is available in budget and some was saved from last year
	IT budget to pay for this.

>g. CHIP Contract for Professional Services
	Carmella Braswell presented information to renew contract 
	with Varnadoe and Associates (from Douglas) to
	write 2009 grant proposal

>h. Purchase & Sale Agreement for Reclaimed Petroleum Groundwater
	Currently water from Wiesenbaker Site is submitted to city
	to process at $2.00 per gallon (county pays city)
	New setu up with GA petrolium will result in county being paid
	$0.10 per gallon..

	Changes and updates to ULDC - there are 12 major items
	Information included in packet was timeline, advertisement
	requirements, 5 page summary table, maps of current zoning
	based upon 2008 approved zoning changes.
	Major items include: 
		animal shelters and foster homes - working on this since
		September 2008

		planned developments with out master plans are non conforming
		this was brought to light in a Zoning Board of Appeals case
		and there are 30+ non conforming properties, many were 
		previously zoned Mobile Home Park but with no layout.
		Planner recommends making a new zoning of 
			Rural Planned Development
		
		Alcohol permit will be required before building permit
		will be issued.  (re: LaGaviota in LakePark)

		All changes will either be reviewed in detail at next
		work session or Commissioners can meet directly with JD
		to get individual explanations.
