The Lowndes County Commissioners spent quite a while discussing whether they would table 5.a. REZ-2024-15 Loch Winn Farms, LTD, ~62ac, R-A to R-1 – R-A, indicating they probably would, but informing the public was difficult, because the actual decision would be made at the Regular Session the next day.
They did not have as much discussion about tabling for 5.b. REZ-2024-16 Pine Grove Road Townhouses, 6.3ac, C-H to P-D, which may well be a signal that they won’t table.
Both rezoning cases were not heard by the Planning Commission due to a lack of quorum.

They didn’t have much to say about the $1,175,000 6.a. Orr Road Extension, P.I. 0016273 – TIA Project Agreement. Sure, that’s state money, but it’s still your tax dollars.

This was not heard by the GLPC last month because there was no meeting due to a lack of a quorum. The Chairman recommends tabling until the GLPC can hear the case. Planner JD Dillard also noted that the applicant sent a message asking for tabling until next county commission meeting so that they could have additional discussions with adjacent land owners.
It’s not possible to say “don’t come to the commission meeting because this item will be tabled” because there has been no vote yet to table and should the commissioners decide to vote on it then the public would miss their chance to speak.

5.b. REZ-2024-16 Pine Grove Road Townhouses, 6.3ac, C-H to P-D,
This was also not heard by GLPC and same tabling question.
Commissioner Wisenbaker asked if it was a local builder and Planner JD Dillard side stepped the question by answering that it was the same builder that was building the town homes on Bemiss just to the south.
