Here are the draft changes to the Unified Land Development Code (ULDC) that Jason Davenport presented to the Lowndes County Commission in its Work Session of Monday, June 12, 2023.
Ten amendments, timeline, and primary staff
The new rebuttal part of the Public Hearings, as seen in the public hearings Monday in the Special Session with the Howell Road Halfway House reapproval and Tuesday in the Regular Session (LAKE videos to come), is one of these proposed ULDC changes.
The draft changes, received in response to a LAKE open records request, are on the LAKE website.
If you want to send the county comments on these changes, the Planning Department web page has contact information, as well as copies of the current ULDC and Comprehensive Plan.

Investigative reporting costs money, for open records requests, copying, web hosting, gasoline, and cameras, and with sufficient funds we can pay students to do further research. You can donate to LAKE today!
