Update 2022-08-22: Rezoning, Roundabout, Abandonment, Subdivision @ LCC 2022-08-08.
Some hard-to-see plans were projected for the Flannigan James Road and Smith Street rezoning, but they are merely speculative and would not bind the developer, while they would bind the Commission to the C-G zoning, so you can hear and see in these LAKE videos of yesterday morning’s Lowndes County Commission Work Session. They vote this evening at 5:30 PM in the Regular Session.
There was little new about the other agenda items. Except the County Manager requested an executive session to discuss potential litigation.
Below are links to each LAKE video of each agenda item, with a few notes, followed by a LAKE video playlist. See also the agenda.
- 1. Call to Order 4. Minutes for Approval
-
5.a. REZ-2022-09 Flannigan, James Rd. R-1 to C-G, Water/Sewer ~7.8 acres
Commissioner Mark Wisenbaker wanted to know if these were the same plans as they saw in the TRC meeting. Chairman Bill Slaughter said they were.
-
6.a. Bemiss Road – Walkers CrossingRoundabout Maintenance Agreement with GAdot
It’s only for the portions within Lowndes County. Berrien and Lanier Counties will have their own agreements. The schedule will develop as needed in consultation with the other counties; probably monthly, maybe more during growing season. Lowndes County Chairman Bill Slaughter said he talked to the Berrien County Chairman, who said he would like a cooperative agreement, such as one county doing it paid by the others.
- 6.b. Vertiv Service Contract for the Liebert UPS at 911 Center 4 Tower Sites
- 6.c. Motorola SUAll (Evergreen)
-
6.d. Abandonment of a Portion of Boring Pond Lane
This is supposed to be a public hearing so at the regular session, it will be moved there.
- 6.e. Resolution Accepting the Infrastructure for West Schoolhouse Pond
-
7. Reports County Manager
County Manager asked for an Executive Session to discuss current or pending litigation.
