County Manager Joe Pritchard said he had two new agenda items for tomorrow night, both to do with a proposed annexation by Hahira. County Chairman Bill Slaughter said he atteneded the recent Hahira City Council meeting where that annexation was discussed, which was last Thursday, so I don’t follow why this wasn’t on the Lowndes County Commission agenda Friday with all the other items.
A new voice was heard for Planning on the one Public Hearing item that was on the agenda: Molly Stevenson. Whether she is the new Planner, succeeding departed Jason Davenport, is unclear.
Below are links to each LAKE video of each agenda item, followed by a LAKE video playlist. See also the agenda. They vote 5:30 PM tomorrow (Tuesday).

1. Order 4. Minutes 5.a. Decorative Lighting District: Creekside West
Video. The County Planning web page still says “Jason Davenport, County Planner,” but the agenda sheet says “DEPARTMENT: Planning; Staff: Molly Stevenson.” The Staff Directory has her as “Engineering/Planning Technician.” Her Linkedin page says she is “Customer Service Supervisor – Lowndes County Utilities.” Maybe that’s what she was doing before moving to Planning. And maybe she’s standing in for recently departed Jason Davenport or she’s the new Planner; they didn’t say.

7. Reports – County Manager: 2 new agenda items; Hahira annexation
Video. I asked Chairman Bill Slaughter how to get a copy of the documents about which County Manager Joe Pritchard had said “you have before you” before they vote on them tomorrow evening. The Chairman said they wouldn’t vote on them tomorrow evening, but ask the County Clerk. I asked Paige Dukes, and to my surprise she said she would send them to me. I said I’d send her an open records request. She said no need, she knew how to reach me. We shall see. Here is what the county sent.
