Last thing last Tuesday, they approved a newspaper insert to commemorate former ZBOA member Mike Hill, who recently died.
ZBOA granted 5:1 a request in VAR-2017-06 for lots smaller than in the county’s Family ties requirement. Again 5:1 they granted the VAR-2017-07 request for a barn setback. For each of those cases, one person spoke for.
In “yet another case that came about due to a recent survey”, as County Zoner Carmella Braswell said, they approved unanimously the VAR-2017-09 setback variance, with a requirement that the stoop sicking out never get enclosed.
City Planner Tracey Tolley presented the Valdosta City cases, two at the same address for the same people together, which ZBOA heard together, with separate motions. They approved APP-2017-02 unanimously, and, with a 15-foot minimum condition, they also unanimously granted APP-2017-03.
They approved the minutes and welcomed new member Victoria Copeland, a realtor.
