but nothing about the
invading pipeline soft target.
The highly controversial Moody Activity Zoning Districts (MAZ) are back, despite massive opposition. The Planning Commission will hear MAZ again Monday evening, and because there’s only one day from then until the County Commission can vote on MAZ Tuesday, the County Planner says:
I do not expect the full versions of the ULDC to be ready in time for the July 28th LCBOC meeting.
So how can Commissioners make an informed decision?
Also requiring a public hearing Tuesday evening is a Beer, Wine and Liquor License – Lake Park Pub – 4991 US Hwy. 41 S., plus another without a hearing, for Lake Park Pub – 4991 US Hwy. 41 S.
And Lowndes County Commissioners are ready to sign an agreement about the $16,915 to upgrade a water main to subsidize a developer they agreed on last month. This was after the Zoning Board of Appeals in February refused a variance for the same developer not to connect to county water. And that developer subsidy is more than the $15,957 the county declined to provide to study public transportation and truck routing, even though the City of Valdosta, the state of Georgia, and the federal government already approved the vast majority of the funding.
They plan to reappoint Jim Scruggs to the Construction Board Of Adjustments And Appeals. And there are two
