They’re hiring an Existing Industry Coordinator to start in October or November. They granted an easement on Madison Highway to Valdosta for a rechlorination booster station.
No citizens spoke at the 21 October 2014 Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority meeting. Nobody there but Greg Justice of Regal Marine (presented a framed copy of the VDT article about his company), VDT reporter Stuart Taylor (here’s his report), and Gretchen (who took these videos). Roy Copeland wanted to know about numbers of new jobs and reporting to the community.

The Valdosta-Lowndes County Development Authority is seeking an Existing Industry Coordinator to support the Executive Director and Project Manager with operations, planning, projects and outreach. The individual must have the ability to take initiative, work independently, multitask, and be adaptable to an ever changing fast paced work environment. Duties for this position include, but are not limited to, coordination of financial responsibilities, industry research, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, strong people management and sales skills.
A bachelor’s degree in public administration, public relations, marketing, business, or a similar course of study is required. Two to three years’ experience in economic development is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered for the minimum requirements.
