A directly affected landowner wanted to know what happened with the talks among several local county attorneys about the proposed Sabal Trail pipeline, and was there any way citizens could provide input, at the 11 March 2014 Regular Session of the Lowndes County Commission.

Also she wondered if she could hear the rest of what the Chairman said on the radio that morning. Plus her son had talked to the pipeline company, which had asserted the pipeline was going through regardless. She said she didn’t think that was very respectful.
Which is interesting because at the previous Commission Regular Session, in addition to saying “there’s nothing we can do”, Chairman Slaughter also said:
I don’t mind at all speaking on your behalf on the issues that I have addressed earlier, that each one of the property owners is treated with the utmost respect….
Singletary pointed out there are other pipeline routes available. And she thanked three Commissioners for showing up at the recent FERC Scoping Meeting in Valdosta.
