Carol Singletary’s impassioned and reasoned plea got a response from Mayor John Gayle, even if it was only to ask if she had spoken to the Lowndes County Commission. Yes, she had, and later she did again.

Larry Hanson @ VCC 2013-11-07

City Manager Larry Hanson elaborated that while there had been two or three paths originally contemplated, to his knowledge none of them went through Valdosta now. Ms. Singletary pointed out that Spectra’s alternate route is the route through Valdosta. Valdosta officials seemed unimpressed.
