Can you explain that again for me about the penalties if the voters don’t pass the tax? If the county’s got a project, then they’ve got to put up ten percent or whatever the percentage is?Corey Hull answered:
Yeah, if they’re using their LMIG funds, which is the state funding the counties and cities receive, if the voters did not approve the tax, the local governments must match their projects and raise thirty percent.Update 4:45 PM 4 April 2011: Corey Hull filled in the words I couldn’t transcribe and explained LMIG is Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant Program.
They went on to discuss types of projects and which communities receive which kinds of funding them.
